A487 LLANWNDA TO LLANLLYFNI IMPROVEMENT
A487 TRUNK ROAD, GWYNEDD

TACP were commissioned as a member of a contractor led team responsible for implementing a design and construct contract for a 10km section of the A487 trunk road in Gwynedd. The route passes through an area of high nature conservation value and TACP has been responsible for co-ordinating the development and implementation of the environmental mitigation measures.
This has required the development of an Environmental Management System and associated Action Plan and a 25 year Environmental Management Plan. The latter identified the core commitments to be met and the means of ensuring their implementation. This involved co-ordinating and directing specialist sub-consultants in the fields of ecology, archaeology and hydrology, as well as ensuring landscaping works were undertaken.
