Client: Roman Catholic Diocese of Wrexham/Diocese of Church of Wales
TACP landscape architects and architects undertook a major redevelopment of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Wrexham, to create a shared faith school with the Church in Wales.
As well as the refurbishment of existing buildings and the creation of new laboratories, a sports hall and music suite the project also included the redevelopment of an external courtyard.
This provided a space for pupils to gather informally as well as an outdoor classroom facility. Improvements to the existing sports fields, car parking and playgrounds were also carried out.
The landscape design consisted of simple palettes of materials and planting to create a legible and cohesive school environment.
